He's Walking

Finally!  Just a few months shy of him turning 1 year old, this baby is walking!  Praise the Lord!  We were so surprised he started walking early.  With him crawling backwards we figured aww it will be a while before he walks.  Well he showed us!

Merry Christmas

We would like to wish everyone a very  Merry Christmas!  Jesus is the reason for the season!

Disneyland

This little guy got to go to Disneyland for his first time!  I wish he was a little older so he can enjoy things a little bit more but he did really good!  He got on Pirates even!  Santa, well he was too fond of.  What baby is fond of Santa?  Other than that, he liked all sounds and music, I hope to come back soon!

Happy Turkey Day

Maddy Goes to Vegas

We got a first timer!  A short family trip to Vegas was in order and we thought it would be fun to bring the kids along.  Madden was amazing at everything.  He's going to get to know this place very well!

New Wheels

Thanks to all the gift cards received from Madden's dedication.  He was able to purchase his first set of wheels!  None other than a Ford Raptor.  Dad was so jealous!  The baby was super excited to get into it.  He just sat back and cruised.  Welcome to the Ford Family baby!

A Gift From Above

Today was a beautiful day as we celebrated the dedication of our baby boy to the Lord.  It was such a nice ceremony at Calvary Chapel Anaheim Hills.  We wanted our son to be guided by the Lord for life.  He needs to know who God is and what he has done for us.  Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate this joyous occasion with us.

Treats in the Streets

Oh my little Gus Gus.  Madden's costume was handmade and he is Gus Gus from Cinderella.  His sister Chloe was Cinderella.  So they went hand in hand.  He was the cutest little mouse I ever saw!  Madden was in awe with all the kids dressed up in their costumes!  He lost a slipper by the end of the night.  I thought it was Cinderella who lost her slipper?

Harley

Madden's first time on a Harley.  I hope it will be his last.  Grandpa Richard is so proud at this moment.  Madden wasn't too fond of how loud the bike was.  He was so scared!

First MADD Walk 2015

This is Madden's very first MADD Walk!  I'm so happy that I get to involve him in such a wonderful cause.  I remember like it was yesterday when it was his sister's very first MADD Walk and she is going on her 4th walk.  It's very important to me as a mother to teach my children about the dangers of drinking and driving.

Costume Party

We attended a costume party of Madden's Nana's co-worker Nancy.  It was her daughter Valentina's 3rd birthday party.  I dressed Madden up as Mickey Mouse.  I bought the onesie for $5 at Target a while back and was hoping I would get to dress him in it soon.  He looked absolutely adorable.  While he wasn't able to eat any of the yummy treats they had he still had a good time. 

Pumpkin Patch

We took Madden & Chloe to the Pumpkin Patch at the MainPlace Mall in Santa Ana this evening.  It was Madden's first time!  He was amazed at all of the lights, people, rides and noises.  He wanted to put the little pumpkins in his mouth.  He was too small to get on any rides but he enjoyed watching his sister.

First Haircut

Our little stud was ready for his first haircut.  I took him to the place we took his big sister to get her first haircut California Kids Hairstyling in Orange.  They are very kid friendly.  I thought our trip was going to be a disaster story like most are but Maddy did really well.  He wasn't all wormy and the lady was able to get nice edges in.  Can't believe he already got his first haircut!  He looks too cute!

Maddy and Daddy

I took this pictured as we waited for breakfast at the Long Beach Marina.  I love it.  The picture says 1000 words.  Ryan loves his son unconditionally and Madden has love for his daddy.  It's a bond that can never be broken.  I'm glad Ryan is there for his baby and will be until he takes his last breath.

Army Crawling

For the last week or so Madden has begun to army crawl.  It's not a full on crawl as he's not up on all fours.  It's more of a use his arms to drag his entire body across the room.  It's quite hilarious.  He then gets up on all fours and act like he is going to crawl but nope fake you out he dry humps the air.  This kid cracks us up.  He's so happy all the time.  All smiles all day.  It's really sweet.  I haven't captured a good video of it because when I attempt to film him he stops.  So once I get one i'll post it so you all can see the cuteness.

Maddy's First Fall

Well today didn't start off as I wished it would have.  As we were getting ready for the day, Madden was on my bed with a fort of pillows surrounding him.  I went into the bathroom to grab a brush and heard a loud thump.  I turned and he was on the floor.  I panicked as I was unsure if he hit anything on his way down.  He had a usual red spot where he hit and he was so scared.  It was a failed mommy moment.  Feeling horrible I hugged and assured him it was ok and he just took his first fall.  The first of many i'm sure.  It happens to the best of us.  It's crazy how all it takes is a second.  I got a photo update a little later that day from his grandma.  He's A okay!  Thank goodness.

First Camping Trip

We took our Madden on his very first camping trip over the weekend.  It was also our first as a family trip.  We made memories up at Leo Carrillo State Park and Beach.  It's in Malibu, CA and it is such a pretty beach.  The campground was a little dry due to the drought but other than that we enjoyed ourselves.  Now we did the full on camping with tents and portable stoves and bonfires....no glamping here.  Check out some of the photos we took.  Madden was so curious at all the different things got to see.

The Rollercoaster

I found Madden this cool walker type toy.  Chloe calls it the rollercoaster.  Madden goes around and around and fast.  Once he starts getting the hang of it I can imagine he will be going full speed.  I'm not too sure if this thing will stay grounded much longer at the rate he goes.  It's hilarious.  He loves that thing.

6 Months Old

Madden had his 6 month old check up today.  He's now 27 inches long and weighs 19 pounds.  He loves his belly time, spending time with his big sister and eating.  We have introduced more variety of baby foods to him.  Surprisingly he likes his veggie ones too.

First OC Fair

Every year we attend the dreaded expensive Orange County Fair located in Costa Mesa, CA.  It's Madden's first year attending.  It's was the most hot and sunny day and we were roasting.  Madden was so excited I think because so many people were walking around and he loves people watching.  Almost as much as I do.  He laid back with his sunglasses on and enjoyed the music and nice weather.  

First 4th of July

We spent the holiday at home with our family and friends.  It was a really hot day out and we had nice weather.  Most of the day we were in the pool.  Madden loves hanging out in his float.  Later we got to light some sparklers and watch others light their fireworks.  He was amazed at all the lights and sounds.  Surprisingly he was not frightened.  He had a good day.

4 Months Old

Maddy had his 4 month old check up today.  He weighs 17.2 lbs now and is in the 95 percentile for his height and the 90 percentile for his weight.  He is a big little dude!  He is also teething.  His two front bottom teeth are going to cut through at a moment's notice.  He did so well with his shots too...shut a little shout on one of them and boom done!  Yes we vaccinate!  I can't think of anything more important than to make sure my baby is protected.  His pediatrician gave us a go ahead on baby food and baby cereal.  I've already test it on him at home of course but now I will try it daily with him.  He's hitting so many milestones already.  Growing too fast.

First Feature

As a mommy of two I subscribe to tons of parenting pages on social media.  Well Today Parents page on Facebook invited it's followers to submit a picture of their infant baby smiling or making a cute face.  OF COURSE...I had plenty to share of Maddy but the one I chose was this one

Baby Food

I know I'm jumping the gun a little too soon but I wanted to have the baby try some baby food.  I bought some carrots and bananas for him to try.  

I think it's too soon for him though.  Another month and i'll try it again.  It's recommended they start trying new things at 4 months, he's barely 3 months.  His faces are just too funny.  

Rash/Eczema

I swear my poor baby can't catch a break!  He's broken out in a rash.  He has really fair skin and it's super sensitive.  His poor face and body keep getting worse.  It's been about 3 weeks now so we took him into the ER and they had to make sure it wasn't the measles!  They officially said it was a case of really bad baby eczema.  The pictures below show how bad it actually got.  I'm doing my best in trying to treat it properly but there is no easy way to do so.  Very sad!!!
